Day 1
The first seminar will take place on 4th July, from 10 am to 3.30 pm, and it will address a number of relevant topics to the continuation of the European Union, and to its member states. We aim to engage young people to attend this event, either for sharing their experiences as European Volunteers, or for learning more about how these opportunities could contribute to their development, and to different European communities.

The workshops convened on 4th July will cover four interlinked topics:
Challenging Euroscepticism and fostering informed debate Solidarity and access to labour market for young people with disabilities: a comparison of Romanian andEuropean contexts Combatting stigmatisation of “migrants” and fostering intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding through European mobilities.

Day 2
The EU Aid Volunteers Initiative Info Sessions will take place on 5th July, from 9:30 am to 13:30 pm. The Info Sessions will provide an opportunity to increase visibility of the initiative, and make contact with other organisations training on the EU Aid Volunteers initiative and the certification mechanism. Furthermore, it will allow Chance for Lifeand Imago Mundi to establish themselves in Romania as the contact points for information about the initiative – especially for interested prospective future sending organisations, as well as volunteers.

The day will be divided into two halves, with the first half concentrating on giving an overview of the initiative and the certification mechanism, followed by presentations covering the journey to and through deployment. There will opportunities to hear testimonies from volunteers and organisations who have taken part in the programme.

The second half of the Info Sessions will be dedicated to providing information on the Certification process itself. Members of the consortium who have provided Technical Assistance to organisations will be on hand to answer questions, and both Imago Mundi Foundation and Chance for Life will be able to give advice about their organisations’ experiences of engaging in the certification process. There will be practical tips for Romanian organisations on how to get involved, and how to approach their
preparation.

Please confirm your participation by emailing Chance for Life at office@chanceforlife.ro , or Imago Mundi at imagomundi.conects@gmail.com by 23rd June 2017.
